seeingthehorizon:

It’s a funny thing,

Watching the moon attempt to

           hide

Beneath the clouds.

The moon is

   too big

      too bright

         too beautiful

to associate with clouds.

Mere clouds,

Holding her back.

No,

   She is divine,

Pristine in how she holds herself,

Outshining every star strong enough to sit

Amongst her there

In that nightened sky,

Outlasting every shattered dream,

Every wasted wish,

Every second

Of every minute,

Of every blackened night.

The moon,

    She is there.

         She is perfect.
